The Natural Look
- Heavy make-up is often necessary for my work, but otherwise I prefer
light make-up in natural tones. The colors I wear for concerts are too
dramatic for my liking.
- I protect my skin against the sun. Like all women who don't want
freckles, I use cosmetics that contain a Sun Protection Factor.
- For a foundation, I prefer Clinique's Balanced Makeup Base. It
improves my make-up even on days when my complexion isn't looking
its best.
- Other personal favorite include Natique's facial powder, Covermark's
make-up base, Clinique's light brown eyeshadows and Shu Uemura's grey
eyeshadows and light brown blushes. For lipsticks, I prefer Covermark
and M.A.C. I usually outline my lips first using a dark lip pencil, then
I apply a light-colored lipstick and add a little powder to make the
color last longer.
- I like doing my own make-up. After all, I know my face better than
anyone else!
Keeping Fit
- I don't eat much, particularly at lunchtime. I tend to eat a little
bit more in the evenings. Lots of people are turning to vegetarian
at the moment, and I'm tempted to try that too but I wonder if the food
will taste as good. I never diet to lose weight. I don't eat beef or
mutton because the tastes don't agree with me, nor do I like the very
popular sashimi and oysters. I eat desserts such as ice cream and
chocolate in moderation.
- Mango is my favorite fruit; I also like honeydew melons, bananas,
apples and oranges. Strawberries and kiwi are the only fruits I don't
like.
- I don't take special foods to improve my health. Ordinary soups
such as green and red turnip soup or salted duck egg and gourd soup are
good enough for me. However, on days when my work is especially
demanding and exhausting, a delicious bowl of abalone with bird's nest
soup can make me forget my heavy workload.
- When it comes to exercise, I'm not the type to sweat it out for an
hour or two in the gym. I prefer sports like table tennis and badminton.
Actually, my busy schedule keeps me well-exercised - I simply have no
time to get fat!
