Vivian denies the rumors about returning to showbiz

Yesterday Vivian held a press conference for her new book.

Vivian retired from showbiz for many years. Recently, she has become an author and has written her first book "My Cat Son Pal Chow." Yesterday Vivian held a press conference for her new book. Vivian hasn't attended a press conference for many years, so yesterday she attracted a lot of reporters to this event. However, she was still calm in her performance.

Thanks Joe for his support
Vivian stated she never thought she would be meeting the press with a status of being an author. However, she wasn't releasing a book because she wanted to be an author, but instead because she wanted to tell everyone about her relationship with her beloved cat. Vivian describes her cat Pal as her cat son, and Joe is the father. Currently, there are 4 babies at home, two dogs and two cats. The reporter asked why Joe didn't attend the press conference. She said if he came, then this would scatter the focus of her book. She spent a lot of time and effort to write this book. It's good enough that he supports her from behind. She really thanks Joe for proofreading her book.

Earlier there was often rumors that Vivian would return to showbiz. Some reports said she would have a concert and act in a TV series and in a movie. Vivian said she really wants to talk about this topic. She explained she's had a very happy life these past few years. It's not because she doesn't have work to do. She's happy because she can do what she likes to do. These past few years, she's had a lot of different interests. Not only does she like painting, she also likes writing her book, and is even crazy about American pool.

Hasn't thought about having children
Vivian admits that after she returned to HK last year, there have been many people who were looking for her to do work in front of the camera. The rumors about her having a concert, acting in a TV series and a movie are all incorrect. Currently, she hasn't confirmed any plans yet. She said her good friend Gary Chan has helped her to decline a lot of work, because some of those jobs weren't suitable for her. But she really thanks all the people who were looking for her to do work and haven't forgotten about her. The reporter asked if she has any interest in working in front of the camera. Vivian said she has many interests right now. It doesn't matter if it's in front or behind the camera.

Vivian treated Pal like her own child. The reporter asked if she thought about having children. She said, "No, I already have a son. Pal was raised together by Joe and me." The reporter indicated raising a cat and raising a person are different. She said she and Joe have a tacit understanding. She doesn't want to have children. She hopes to concentrate all her energy on raising her 4 pets. The reporter asked if she and Joe would be getting married. She said their relationship has already surpassed a marriage relationship. But if they were to get married, everyone would definitely know about it. Currently, she really enjoys her dating lifestyle. Earlier there were rumors about her having financial problems. Vivian said she wouldn't get mad, because it's not true.

Vivian and Joe have a consensus on not having children;
Entered the world of literature, writing a book about her "son"

If Vivian is willing to come out from retirement, then she doesn't need to worry.

Once known as the 'Jade Girl Master,' Vivian Chow has retired from showbiz for many years, but has recently entered the world of literature, releasing her first book "My Cat Son Pal Chow." Yesterday Vivian attended the press conference for her new book. She also clarified the rumors about her returning to showbiz, and made it clear that she and her boyfriend Joe have a tacit understanding on not having children. Even though Joe didn't come to the press conference, in the preface he had written for her book, he made it clear about his love for his girlfriend. He even thanked God for giving him a kind and beautiful partner.

It's rare for Vivian to appear in public places. Yesterday, she attracted many reporters to the press conference. She said she wasn't releasing a book this time because she wanted to be an author, and instead wanted to talk about the feelings she had with her beloved cat, Pal. She said when she was writing the last chapter for the book, Pal suddenly caught a strange disease, making her feel very shocked. Fortunately, a miracle appeared in the end, making a different 'happy ending' for the book. Vivian said Pal Chow is a big bad guy, and she was afraid he would run around everywhere if she brought him to the event, so she left him at home.

Surpassed the relationship of being married
Vivian open-heartedly said Pal was raised by her and Joe, and they think of him as their son. She laughed saying she has 4 babies at home, 2 cats and 2 dogs. The 'father' Joe didn't attend the press conference. Vivian said, "If he came, then the focus would be on us. I spent a lot of time and effort to write this book. It's good enough that he supports me from behind." Reporters asked if she had thought about having children. She said, "No, I already have a son. Pal was raised by Joe and me." The reporter said, "But raising a person and raising a cat are different." Vivian said, "I've raised him like a person!" She open-heartedly said she and Joe have a tacit understanding. She doesn't want to have children. As for when she will get married with Joe, she laughed saying they have already surpassed the relationship of being married. If they get married, everyone would definitely know about it. She really enjoys her current dating lifestyle. The royalties for the book will all be given to 'The Society for Abandoned Animals,' in hopes to help some of the abandoned animals.

Won't refuse to return to showbiz
There's always been rumors Vivian would return to showbiz. Vivian said, "I've been living a happy life these past few years, because I can do what I like to do. If I come across a job which is fun and something I like, then I won't refuse to do it. I also haven't said or promised that I wouldn't work." After she came back to HK last year from Canada, there were many people who were looking for her to do work in front of the camera. Recently there were rumors about her having a concert, and acting in TV series and movies. She clarified that all those reports were not accurate. She currently doesn't have any confirmed plans yet. Vivian said she has many interests, such as painting, writing a book, and playing American pool, no matter if it's in front of the camera or behind the camera. Earlier, there were rumors about her having financial problems. Vivian said, "I won't be mad, because it's not true."

Joe helped to proofread Vivian's book, and also wrote the preface for her book. He's really showing his support for his girlfriend. In the preface, he said that after he finished reading her book, he understood his girlfriend even more and admired her even more. He said Vivian has a gift of loving and forgiving and building a very cozy family for Pal and him. Pal is an animal who doesn't know how to appreciate her, but he knows how to. He really thanks God for giving him a kind and beautiful partner and bringing Pal a loving mother. Maybe he did too many good things in his former life.

He's a bad guy and I can't handle him. If Joe came, the focus would be on me and him and everyone would forget about this book. It's good enough that he supports me from behind. I thank him for helping me proofread my book and give me suggestions on the cover design." Vivian's cat is her beloved son

Vivian, who has been resting for many years, had a press conference for the first book which she wrote.

Vivian, who has been resting for many years, returned to HK last year and since then, there have been rumors she would be returning to the entertainment circle. Yesterday, she held a press conference for her first book which she wrote. The book is called "My Cat Son Pal Chow." Vivian stated she never said she was retiring from showbiz. It's just that she hasn't come upon a suitable job she wants to do. However, the recent rumors about her accepting job offers was false.

For these past 2 months, there have often been reports that Vivian would return to showbiz to earn money because of her boyfriend.

Yesterday at Vivian's press conference for her new book, she denied this rumor. She also said she never said she was leaving the entertainment circle. It's just that these past few years, she has a lot of different interests and spent a lot of time painting, playing American pool, and being the first ambassador for the "Non-Smokers' Movement of HK." Also, she often had to fly to other places, so it was difficult to coordinate time with the entertainment work. Earlier there were rumors about her having a concert and doing advertisements, however, those haven't been confirmed yet.

As for releasing a book, Vivian said it's not because she wants to be an author. She just wants to share the knowledge she gained raising her cat. She said she always disapproved of using money to buy a pet to bring home and shouldn't train their pets to become their dream pet, but to let the pet develop freely instead. This time Vivian's love for her own pets is given to other cats and dogs who were abandoned by people. She would be giving all the royalties from "My Cat Son Pal Chow" to 'The Society for Abandoned Animals.'

Vivian often used 'son' for describing her beloved cat 'Pal Chow.' She said she and her boyfriend think of their two cats as their children. They also have a consensus on not having children. She said the dating relationship she has with her boyfriend has already surpassed the stage of marriage. If they really get married, she would let everyone know.

Vivian wrote a book for her 'cat son'

Vivian wrote a book for her beloved cat and has become a pet author.

Vivian has stepped out of the entertainment circle for many years. Recently, she has become an author. It's the first time writing about the 4 years she's been with her cat son. The book is called, "My Cat Son Pal Chow." Yesterday Vivian attended the press conference for her new book and was dressed all in pure white. She attracted a lot of reporters to this event.

Wrote the book for her beloved cat
Vivian said she never thought she would have a press conference with a status of being an author. She said she wasn't releasing a book because she wanted to be an author, but instead because she wanted to tell everyone about her relationship with her beloved cat. All the royalties for the new book will be given to 'The Society for Abandoned Animals.' She hopes she can help a few of the abandoned animals.

Vivian remembered when she was writing the last chapter for the book, Pal suddenly caught a strange sickness. The doctor had told her to be mentally prepared (Pal might not survive). At that time, she was very shocked, because she already wrote a happy ending for the book. Fortunately, a miracle appeared in the end, and although the ending had to be changed a little, it's still a happy ending.

Joe is a father
In the book, Vivian described herself as being Pal's mom, and her boyfriend Joe is the dad. The reporters asked why Joe and her son Pal didn't attend the press conference. Vivian laughed saying if Joe came to the event, then everyone would focus on him and would forget about the new book, so it's already good enough that Joe is supportive from behind. However, she really thanks Joe for proofreading her book and giving her suggestions on the cover design. As for not bringing Pal to the event, she said Pal would be running all over the place if he came. Pal is a big bad guy, so that's why it would be better to leave him at home.

Currently, Vivian has 2 dogs and 2 cats at home. Would she write a book for her other 3 pets? She said she already made a painting of each pet. If there's an opportunity, she would try to write a book about them.

Pets are their babies
Vivian and Joe have dated for many years. The reporters asked if she thought about getting married. She said, "I really enjoy the dating lifestyle, so I haven't thought about getting married. It's just like what Joe said... our relationship has already surpassed a marriage relationship. However, if in the future we get married, you will all know about it." The reporters asked if she thought about having a baby. She laughed saying she already thinks of Pal as her baby, and also she and Joe already have a tacit understanding on not having children. They hope to concentrate their strengh in taking care of their 4 pets.

No plans to return to showbiz
Recently, there have been rumors saying Joe has financial problems and that Vivian has plans to return to showbiz because of this. Vivian said she wouldn't get mad over these rumors, because these rumors aren't even real. She said she's lived a happy life these past few years. It's not because she doesn't have to work, but because she can do what she likes to do. It's just that these past few years, she's had different kinds of interests. She painted, wrote a book, and recently she's fallen in love with playing American pool. It's true that after she came back to HK last year from Vancouver, there were many people who were looking for her to do work. But the jobs weren't suitable for her, so her manager had already declined those offers for her. She really thanks those people who were looking for her to do work. They haven't forgotten about her.

She said, "Recently there have been rumors about me having a concert, doing advertisements, and acting in a movie. All of those rumors are inaccurate. At this moment, I don't have any confirmed plans other than releasing my book. But if there is a job that's fun and something I like, no matter if it's in front of the camera or behind the camera, I won't refuse to do it."

Together with Joe being parents;
Vivian raises cat and won't have children

Vivian hasn't been seen in public for a long time. Yesterday she attracted a lot of reporters to her press conference for her new book. Vivian left her cat, Pal, at home because she didn't want her cat to be running around everywhere.

Vivian hasn't been seen in public for a long time. Yesterday she attended the press conference for her new book "My Cat Son Pal Chow." She was dressed all in white and looked great. However, regarding the news of her coming back to showbiz, Vivian again clarified that it was only rumors. But she also emphasized that she didn't promise she wouldn't return to showbiz. She will look upon everything with an ordinary heart. She said, "Recently there have been rumors that I will be working a lot, but actually up until today I haven't confirmed anything. Earlier there were rumors that someone was looking for me to do a show. Some of the news was true and some wasn't."

Even though Vivian was promoting her new book, the media of course still asked her questions about her love life. In the book, Vivian said she was Pal's mother, and Joe was the father. Vivian said, "We both have a consensus on not having children. We already treat him as our Baby. As for getting married, I think if we really get married, you guys would know about it."

Vivian said Joe gave her many suggestions on her new book, such as the design of the front cover and other small details. In the book, it said Pal had a strange sickness before. The doctor had told them to be mentally prepared (Pal might not survive), making them and the whole family very sad. She said, "At that time, I had already written a happy ending for the book. I was very worried I would have to change it, and right at that time, a miracle happened and everyone was very happy."

Vivian isn't scared of a fierce and brutal beast and sleeps with a bengal cat

Pal is an animal which is protected by the law. It's very rare. (Reporter created these words).

Vivian has always given people the feeling that she's gentle and graceful. Who would have guessed she would be brave enough to sleep with a bengal cat? A bengal cat is a cross-breed between a wild cat and a domestic cat. Even though the leopard cat's DNA has become weaker in a bengal cat, their brutal origins still exists.

After Vivian stepped out of the entertainment circle in 1997, she was seldom seen in public, but she's still the focus of the reporters. All of her actions are looked upon by others. Vivian loves animals. At her home, she has 2 dogs she really loves, and she's even an ambassador for 'The Society for Abandoned Animals.' However, she knows her other half Joe Ngai likes cats, and since she loves him, she secretly bought a rare bengal cat from Canada and brought it back to give to her boyfriend last year. (Note: statement not true)

Can raise 4th generation cat
Bengal cats are cross-bred with an Asian leopard, or leopard from the Americas, and a domestic cat. This is a rare cat breed. Bengal cats are commonly found overseas. But because the first through third generation of bengal cats have a wild nature that's hard to tame, experts think the cat isn't suitable to be raised in a house. After many years of research, they've observed that once the bengal cat has reached the fourth generation, then it can officially be approved to be a home pet.

When Vivian found out a bengal cat could be raised as a house cat, she immediately went onto the Internet and bought the cat from Vancouver for Canadian$470 to come to HK. When Vivian saw the unique look of the bengal cat, she loved the cat and didn't want to let go of the cat. She and Joe named the cat 'ah Paau' (bengal), which sounds like a powerful name. Bengal cats are animals which are protected by the law. According to the HK 'regulations to protect wild animals,' an owner must apply for a 'special permit certificate' before raising the animal, otherwise the owner would be breaking the law by selling or receiving a protected wild animal from another country. Therefore, Vivian has already applied for this certificate.

Can adapt to HK lifestyle
Right now there are less than 10 bengal cats in HK, because bengal cats are pets that are considered to be very hard to take care of. They need lots of space to do their activities, and they need their owner to sacrifice a lot of time and to show love while playing with them. A lot of families don't know how to take care of this type of cat, so in the end, they would have to bring the cat back to the place where they got the cat from. However, Pal is taken good care of and loved by Vivian and Joe. Pal can completely adapt to the HK lifestyle. On a normal day, he's very active and has become very friendly with Vivian's 2 dogs!

Vivian was secretly writing a book

Vivian is about to release a book about the course of events which happened when she's living with Pal.

After Vivian's bengal cat "ah Paau" (Pal) became her biggest love, Pal was honored in having his pretty owner Vivian write her first book for him. He has become a big star among cats. Vivian even used her own name and Pal's name and joined the names together to create the title of the book "Chow Wai Paau" (Pal Chow). This book will be released in Asia later this month.

Pal is her precious son
From what is known, Vivian was very much against bengal cats at the beginning. But Joe really liked this cat. Vivian loved him, so she tried to come in contact with the cat. It was love at first sight for her, and Pal became her precious son. She was even secretly writing a book for Pal. She wrote in detail about the course of events which happened when she's living with Pal.

Ever since Pal's picture was revealed on this newspaper, it's known that there was an overseas publisher who was very interested in Pal, and they immediately tried to get into contact with Vivian in hopes of releasing a picture book of Pal. However, it's known that Vivian doesn't want Pal to be exposed too much at this time, so she turned down the publisher's invitation.

Joe and Vivian went on a date to watch pool

Joe, who loves American pool, went with his girlfriend Vivian to the HK Football Club in Happy Valley yesterday. They were watching the yearly American pool tour competition. Both of them are always low-key, so when they discovered there were a lot of reporters at the event covering the pool competition, they tried to avoid the reporters and escape the reporter's line of sight, but it was difficult to escape the eyes of the spectators. Some people even asked Vivian for her autograph, so Joe was watching the competition on one side, and on the other side, he was explaining in detail about the rules on pool to his girlfriend who was next to him.

Vivian and Joe went on a date to watch pool

Vivian and Joe were sitting in the audience and were concentrating on watching the pool competition. They didn't talk to each other much.

Vivian and Joe have always loved playing pool. Yesterday, both of them went together to the HK Football Club in Happy Valley to watch the American pool competition. Both of them are members of the HK Pool Club, and there were two members who were participating in the competition, so it's believed both of them were not only watching the competition, but they were also showing their support for the two members. Vivian arrived at 10:00am to the competition. She seems to be very interested in pool.

Later, Joe arrived and met with his girlfriend, but both of them were acting low-key. When they were going to their seats, they were avoiding the reporters' cameras. But because this event attracted a lot of reporters to come, they discussed with each other and decided to sit behind the reporters. Although they were sitting side by side, they didn't do any intimate actions. They just said a few words to each other from time to time and were observing the competition. After Vivian and Joe finished watching all the competitors from HK, there were several pool fans at the event who saw Vivian and complimented her for being beautiful in person and also slim.

Chris Wong can't forget Joe Ngai's 'teeth mark'
(abridged version of actual article)

Chris Wong accepted an interview yesterday with Metro Radio. Chris said, "I hope to find a bold and warm female to play the leading female role (in his concert). However, I still haven't decided yet." Chris was asked if he would find Emme Wong Yi Man. Chris said, "Maybe!" Later he was asked if he would find his good friend Vivian Chow. He said, "I actually called her to ask. Although there's a lot of people who are looking for her to do advertisements and have a concert, from what I know, she won't be completely returning back to showbiz. It needs to be something really good, and then she might consider it. As for saying she is returning to showbiz because her boyfriend Joe Ngai is having financial problems, I know they have a business in Canada. Maybe Mr. Ngai offended someone earlier when he was working on his magazine, so that's why someone is playing a prank on him. I remember back then when Mr. Ngai was doing his magazine, he also stepped on me."

Chris fully supports his good friend Vivian to return to showbiz.

Yesterday Chris Wong accepted an interview on Metro Radio. Chris said he was nosy about Vivian Chow's recent news, so he called her. He said there was a person who was looking for Vivian to open a 10-year anniversary concert, and there were many people who were looking for her to do advertisements and other kinds of work. But she's really not returning to showbiz, so that's why she hasn't accepted any work.
