When Vivian found out a bengal cat could be raised as a house cat, she immediately went onto the Internet and bought the cat from Vancouver for Canadian$470 to come to HK. When Vivian saw the unique look of the bengal cat, she loved the cat and didn't want to let go of the cat. She and Joe named the cat 'ah Paau' (bengal), which sounds like a powerful name. Bengal cats are animals which are protected by the law. According to the HK 'regulations to protect wild animals,' an owner must apply for a 'special permit certificate' before raising the animal, otherwise the owner would be breaking the law by selling or receiving a protected wild animal from another country. Can adapt to HK lifestyle Right now there are less than 10 bengal cats in HK, because bengal cats are pets that are considered to be very hard to take care of.
